These terms cover use of Anchor Ops by a business and the people it
authorises. They are deliberately short and plain.

What the service is

Software for running a home-service business: customers, leads, quotes, jobs,
scheduling, invoices, payments recorded, and the reporting over them. It is provided
as-is and is actively being developed.

The account

The business is responsible for who it gives access to, and for what those
people do with it.

Credentials are personal and are not to be shared. Where two-factor
authentication is available, it should be on.

We may suspend access where it is being used unlawfully, or in a way that
puts other businesses' data at risk.

Whose data it is

The business's records belong to the business. They are not sold
and are not used to build a product for anyone else. A business may ask for an
export of its own data at any time, and may ask for it to be deleted. That principle
is the reason the database is held directly rather than inside someone else's
platform.

Availability, and what we do not promise

No uptime guarantee is offered. Backups are taken frequently (see the
privacy page) and the intent is that no work is ever lost,
but the business should keep its own copies of anything it cannot afford to lose.
Nothing here is accounting, tax or legal advice; figures shown are what the business
itself entered or what its connected systems supplied.

Money

Invoicing, payment recording and commission figures are bookkeeping tools. They
do not move money. What the business collects, and how, is between the business and
its customer.

Ending it

A business may stop using the service at any time and take its data with it. If we
stop providing it, reasonable notice will be given along with an export.

Changes

These terms change as the product does. The date at the top of this page is when
they last changed.
